Hundreds of homes have been without power today in Devon with the issue still yet to be resolved. A power cut was reported at around 8.20am this morning, April 13.

It is said to be impacting 106 properties in the Exmouth area with the postcode EX8. According to the National Grid website, it is hoped that the problem will be resolved by 2.30pm this afternoon.

The National Grid said: "For safety reasons, we have had to isolate the supplies in your local area we hope to have this restored soon."

Wider scale outages have been reported in Plymouth with 359 properties without power within the postcodes of PL7 and PL9. The incident was reported at around 1.15pm today, and is it estimated that the supply will be restored by 3pm.

The National Grid said: "There is a fault on our high voltage network in your area which we are working hard to resolve."

Engineers currently remain working on the faults.
